The chapter meets at the Statesboro Bulloch County Airport in the Conference room of the FBO. Our monthly meeting dates vary slightly based on availability of speakers. History:

EAA Chapter 489 was originally formed from a group of avid aviators at Davis Airpark near Statesboro, Georgia in the 1970s.  The chapter thrived well into the 90s. After Davis Airpark closed the Chapter membership gradually started to reduce and the chapter eventually became inactive. In 2015 a past member reinstated the chapter and the chapter has continued to grow since then.
